Kids’ Rules for Internet Safety

  1. ALWAYS get permission from your parents before using the Internet.
  2. Do not tell anyone on the Internet about yourself. This means any part of your name, address, hone number or where you go to school.
  3. Do not give anyone your picture on the Internet.
  4. Share your usernames and passwords with your parents but keep them secret from everyone else-EVEN YOUR FRIENDS!
  5. Be a good Internet citizen. Do not do anything that can hurt anyone else or is against the law.
  6. Talk to your parents about which sites are “just right” for you. Do not go to inappropriate sites.
  7. Check with your parents before installing or opening anything that pops up on the Internet.
  8. If something or someone makes you feel uncomfortable while on the Internet, tell an adult IMMEDIATELY!
