Kids’ Rules for Internet Safety
- ALWAYS get permission from your parents before using the Internet.
- Do not tell anyone on the Internet about yourself. This means any part of your name, address, hone number or where you go to school.
- Do not give anyone your picture on the Internet.
- Share your usernames and passwords with your parents but keep them secret from everyone else-EVEN YOUR FRIENDS!
- Be a good Internet citizen. Do not do anything that can hurt anyone else or is against the law.
- Talk to your parents about which sites are “just right” for you. Do not go to inappropriate sites.
- Check with your parents before installing or opening anything that pops up on the Internet.
- If something or someone makes you feel uncomfortable while on the Internet, tell an adult IMMEDIATELY!
